Microalgae are one of the promising solutions for alternative carbon sequestration, but they remain difficult to scale up due to high maintenance costs. This study addresses these limitations by comparing the growth rate and carbon sequestration rate achieved using standard BG-11 medium and a low-cost hydroponic fertilizer medium.
